My brother just had his 2014 Bailley Cadiz serviced last week by NCC/Bailley approved dealer. The Cadiz is a single axle van and the service cost approx £250.
Our dealer charges £279 for a single axle service and we used them for the first service as we had a discount voucher. We wanted the dealer to do the first service in case of any issues.
For the second service in April we used a mobile NCC approved company who serviced it for £180. They sent the paperwork to Swift who responded to confirm that they had updated their records and that the warranty conditions had been met.
Sam - your profile says you're in Rotherham so not a million miles from me. I used http://www.pvtmcs.co.uk who are based in Chesterfield and I've booked them again for next year.
For the record, I'm not affiliated with the above company, just a happy customer.
If you haven't got a warranty to worry about, keep away from dealer servicing as you would with a car service. I used Selston caravan servicing which isn't all that far from you, but I'm sure you'll find someone nearer in Rotherham where a rip-off merchant wouldn't survive for too long. You should get a full service for around £160.00 and I personally think a service every two years is enough unless you are fussy and want peace of mind. Check out reviews if you can and it's better to find one with a proper workshop in case you need awning rails re-sealed, which a mobile engineer can't do unless he has access to a workshop. I've used Solihull Caravans in the West Mids and Selston Caravans in the East Mids and these are the only ones I'm in a position to recommend, but I'm sure there are plenty of good blokes around.
If you take your caravan to a workshop their costs will be higher to cover their overheads so a mobile service engineer is usually cheaper. From my experience and a general guide I have found that a mobile service engineer will charge anything from £100 - £150 but it's best to find one through recommendation if possible.

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Yup, independant engineer (approved) about £180-200. I found when I P/Xd my last 'van after 12 hyears of ownership, the full service history was a deal clincher.
I had difficulty finding a mobile engineer to come into east London, where I keep my van, to service it, but finally found an excellent engineer who serviced my single axle van for £180. He did it a week last Friday when it was snowing, hailstones and rain, and by the time he was finished he was soaked, so didn't begrudge him one penny for doing it. But like others have said, the price will vary greatly depending on where you based and who you use.
