Please forgive me if this has been asked before but I am wondering if anyone had had problems with hanging rails in wardrobes.

We have just got a lunar quasar and the wardrobe space is considerably less than what we had in our previous van and there are no shelves either.
I purchased one of those fabric hanging shelf thingys from wilkinsons and it works a treat but OH is concerned about the weight. Obviously I will be very careful not to overload it but has anyone had problems with rails collapsing and then causing damage to the van?

Also we have a rail in the shower and I tend to put coats in there but these are not always the lightest of garments and again, I am concerned about the weight issue.
Thanks in anticipation.

Rails collapsing is unlikely to cause damage to the van...but may put an extra crease or two in your clothes! You Just have to be sensible, as with filling drawers etc. But,the rails should be fit for purpose at the end of the day. If you cant hang a few shirts, skirts and a couple of jackets on them, its a poor do, and needs taking up with the dealer.

Which model is it that has no shelves? Weve also just got a Lunar Quasar, that has 2 wardobes and ample shelving. And, its not 'top of the range' either.

Thanks for your reply, it's a 564. Our last van was a stellar with ample hanging room and deep shelves, and it was only a two berth.

The new van is four berth but there is less wardrobe area and I think we would struggle to accommodate four adults clothes. The 564 has loads of top lockers but they aren't very deep and not easy for me to get into, as the table is in the way..

OH is not too concerned sbout creased shirts but moreso about me putting two much weight on the fabric shelving thing.causing the rail to fail.

Our last caravan the rails always fell down so as we had a fixed bed we would just lay the clothes on the bed on their hangers and hang them up when we arrived.

We lay clothes down too on the beds when we are travelling. Hang them up when we arrive.
