The people were so lucky for the car to stay upright and for them not to be injured
The only thing injured was their undercrackers.

Pity we did not see the build up, by the time the van is in view the van is already in control of the car. You cant learn anything from this footage.
Beg to differ.
1. Lesson is do not abuse the speed limit.
2. Lane change slowly.
3. Don't drive like a prat.

He was doing the overtaking, unless their was a gun to his/her head they didn't have to drive like that, that van doing to filming was probably doing 60, they must have been doing at least 70. Then to pull in quickly, nah no need anything behind you even if you know you screwed up can wait till your sorted out, even if it means taking it on the chin and letting the van undertake you so you can pull over and carry on at a safe speed and take the ear lashing from the co driver

Lorries are restricted to 56, not 60 (I drive one) and unless it was totally empty by the rate it stopped reasonably smoothly at it was unlikely he was over 50.
Looks like a set of motorways merging so the lorry may have been either accelerating or slowing for an exit.
ALL you are saying is speculation. By the time the caravan and car are in view its already to late, the van in pulling the car. If you have ever been there its not about changing lane its change my brown trousers.
They may have been speeding but you cant tell. So calling the driver names is not fair unless you know for a fact he was doing over what he should have been.
So I beg to differ that you cant be sure of what you state is fact.

I know exactly where that is as I travel down it coming to and from my favourite site. That is a straight stretch of dual carriageway and it certainly doesn't merge. It does look like there is roadworks ahead though and possibly the driver hasn't seen them until he was mid overtake and panicked a bit. Either way though the footage shown will certainty be used against him if he made a claim I think. Insurers will use any excuse to avoid paying out.
