There are always Lurchers for rescue at our Local SPCA, but having a cat in the house we can't rescue one. Sadly the vast majority of Dogs requiring rescue around here are Staffie's.
Our last rescue dog was a Wiemaraner sadly passed over last month. Caravan and House is very quiet right now and my exercise has gone downhill.
Oh what a beautiful boy he is, that pic of him on the chair has just made me smile....We have two rescue dogs and would never entertain going to a breeder, not when there are so many poor unwanted dogs in kennels 😔
Thanks all.
It was the second time out caravanning with Zach on a C&CC temporary holiday site at Fraisthorpe, Bridlington, field next to a very good sandy beach, so plenty of 'off lead' training and playtime on the beach and in the sea. On the Sunday, May 22 at 11.00am it was the Annual Worldwide Whippet Walk and the normally quite beach was full of whippets, greyhounds, lurchers and owners. Anyone else heard of this? Walks all over the world at the same time, I was told.
Oh, well done you for taking on a rescue dog! I wish more people would do that, instead of perpetuating the horrors of puppy farms by buying from dodgy breeders.
Looks like your new canine companion has landed on his paws with you!
