We are looking at buying the Daytona awning after looking at both air awnings and the traditional pole type awning. We would love to know what people think of this make please.
Also what kind of flooring do people use in their awnings ? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

We have a Dorema full awning in green (see picture in my profile) which I can highly recommend but we bought ours brand new in 2011 from their factory clearance with a massive saving and is still as good as new. I advise that you use the awning pole pads and storm straps which they sell as extras.
We never use a groundsheet as we think they are unsafe after tripping up on one in the past.

Thanks very much for those replies. We will probably go ahead and get one of these awnings but will wait and see what to do about the floor.
I know that our son intends to sleep in it but we'll borrow a clip on sleeping section and if it works out ok will buy one of those too !

Just brought our second. Think they are great - go for steel poles, less chance of bending.

Cheers

We have a Daytona and love it. For the price it's very well made, and the front panels can be zipped down to a veranda configuration in good weather. I have the standard steel poles and am very pleased. Pole pads and storm straps are extra though - another £30 for both.

We also have a 3.25m porch awning (not inflatable), but to be frank not much difference in the amount of work involved, though half the weight and bulk.

I have the Dorema Daytona awning as well as the smaller zip in sleeping section.

Its a great awning, but I personally would advise getting either the aluminium poles or fibreglass ones. The pole bag is really heavy.

The only other thing is the sleeping add-on, I got the smaller one and although its good, I kind of wish I had got the taller one (https://www.caravanaccessories4u.co.uk/product/dorema-daytona-tall-annex/

The smaller one is a little fiddly and in a strong wind it felt a bit loose (it requires three guy ropes to stand, whereas the taller one is self supporting)

We had a dorema full awning and were very happy with it. We had carbon poles because they were lighter. Had no problems at all. We have a breathable carpet as all sites we have been to ask for these on grass.

We have had our Dorema full awning for years, having it extended to fit our lat van, and current one.
Its a bit faded but leak free and fine. We have the aluminium poles.
We also use a breathable groundsheet.

Another thumbs up for the Daytona awning. We have the steel poles as ours is a size 18 awning and I felt happier with the heavier poles. We also have the tall annexe. We have a Quattro 380 porch awning which is also fab for weekends. I looked at getting the Safari XL instead of the Quattro as this can also have an annexe BUT I wouldn't have been able to use the Daytona annexe as they are not compatible which is pretty annoying!!

We have had a Dorema Montana for 8 years now and it is excellent. We also have a Dorema Panorama Sun canopy for when we are abroad and without additional family. We tend to like GRASS as a groundsheet!
