Hi.
I wonder if anyone has knowledge of using vinyl tiles for a touring caravan shower area, rather than pvc sheets which are more expensive & difficult to trim around contours, I notice most of them are self adhesive,I would prefer to fix them with a trowel applied contact adhesive to make sure of a complete seal.
Thanks.

Don't know about vinyl tiles, but we relined the shower area in our Coachman with cushion floor vinyl.

The thicker material gave a better edge area to get sealant into.

Bit of a faff getting the patterns right, made them with thin cardboard first, and then transferred onto the vinyl.

All in all it's been a great success and very pleased with the result.

i am a carpet fitter and vinyl tiles would let water in the joints even with contact adhesive. cushionflor would be better but can crack when fitted in corners as heat can make it brittle. if cushionfloor got water behind it at least you would know as it starts to show a bruising effect.the back of the flooring is not water proof
