Hi I'm trying to fix a few electrical snags on my 2000 model Abbey County. I've got all the lights working except for the two bulkhead mounted 230V lights.
These are the two with individual pull switches and a dimmer knob.
Bulbs ok. Is there a fuse hidden for these or a special switch location?
Is the dimmer switch prone to failure?
All 240 volt power will be directed to the RCD first for protection to the mains lighting circuit so check to see if one of the RCD switches have tripped and reset if it has tripped. If it hasn't tripped then you need to remove and test the dimmer with a voltmeter to see if you have a current. If that proves okay then it could possibly be the pull cord switches that are not working but rather a coincidence that the two have gone together.
EHU is Electric Hook Up. What navver is asking is whether you have have any power coming from the electric hook up cable. Have you checked to see if any appliances function via the mains 3 pin sockets?
What's other CB you are referring to?
In 2000 mains lights were in most vans, not so today. What you describe sounds like mains lights. However, the omnivent will be 12 volt I would think. Strange.
