On site in France with new lunar quasar and having water issues. Truma pump will run but no water from tap. If I remove the truma filter then water flows from the tap okay. I've tried setting the pressure switch but doesn't do any good. Obviously now proceeding without filter but curious why this occurs.

Also notice if water in barrel runs out and I turn off the taps the pump still continues so unless someone notices and turns the pump off at the control panel I'm going to end up with the pump getting damaged. Is this because the system is trying to replenish the hot water tank? If so should the system not realise there is no water and switch the pump off ?

If the water in the barrel becomes empty then the pump will automatically run anyway until the pump is switched off. When the water barrel is replenished with fresh water and the pump switched back on, it should take a few seconds for the pump to feed the system and pressurise once again.
Regarding the filter, when you removed it did you make sure it was absolutely clean (no debris on the seal) when you re-fitted it? If there is then the slightest air leak will stop the system from pressurising which sounds like why the water system works when the filter is removed and not when it's fitted in.
Not having a filter isn't a major problem anyway as some caravans don't have a water filter fitted as standard like mine. Sometimes they are more trouble than they're worth.
