Right here goes .. Might be a silly question but as I once got told on here the only silly question is the 1 you don't ask . with the van when we got it was a direct water hose ..tap to van .. But where the hose clips into van it's not connecting right and water is dripping out all the time .. So we went to get new direct feed and chap at shop said be better to use you aquaroll with 1 of them float things that goes in it .. So we got 1 of them instead .. Now here's our dilema . with the direct feed although it drips water when you turn the tap of the onboard pump goes of within seconds . but with the aquaroll which fits perfect and no drip the onboard pump when you turn tap of can run over for litteraly minutes .. Can't understand it cuz other folk on site with onboard pumps use the aquaroll . I personally would prefer the direct feed if we can get it to clip in correct .. Please help before I go insane and can stop driving the hubby mad .
With an aquaroll, the onboard pump is doing all the work to move water vs the mains water pressure doing the work. But it should not normally run on for minutes.
I have noticed pump will sometimes run on like that if we have air in the system, but after air is purged the pump stops quickly.
Another thing that may be causing it to run on would be a severe restriction or air leak in the pickup pipe. And that may well be your issue, now that I think about it, you do mention a leak on the inlet connection.
