We've just got ourselves a very retro caravan - a Prima 1300. We'd like to get an awning to go with it, but don't know where to start. There's not much on google about these things, I think it's a 1979 model.
What sort of awning would fit one of these, and what sort of measurements should I be looking for?
Thanks.
Measure the height of the awning rail, most awnings are made for an awning rail height of about 225 to 245cm. If your awning rail is lower than this, which it probably is, modern caravan awnings will not fit properly.
Have a look at driveaway awnings for camper vans, these are made for lower height awning rails and might fit with a bid of fiddling.
Thanks Rob,
the height is 244cm, so seems standard. It's just quite a short caravan.
Just found a site that actually listed the caravan and it's measurements. Says it needs an awning size 800.
