We are on a seasonal pitch. We use a standard full awning that we got from e-bay for £100. I reckon it was about 10 years old when we got it and we are about to start our 5th season in a rainy and windy bit of Snowdonia. Still good to go up this coming season. Mind you it is made of top quality Ten Cate cloth.
I reckon full awnings are the thing to have because they attach to the caravan all round rather than just by a strip along the roof. And the trick is to put it up really well with double pegs at the corners and with storm straps. Don't give the wind a chance.
Glossops awnings website lets you chose "All season" among the options. http://www.glossopawnings.com/caravan-motorhome-awnings/caravan-full-awnings.html
