Hi Wondering if anyone can help me and advise the age of my Esterel Top Volume Folding Caravan? Which digit of the VIN number identifies the year? Any help would be appreciated.

If you search online 'How to decipher a caravan VIN number' you should be able to find the information you need. However, if you click on the link below and scroll down it explains exactly how to identify the year of manufacture.

Thank you for the reply tango55 unfortunately the link is only suitable for UK built caravans and the Esterel is French. I have searched the internet and cannot find any link to French VIN or serial numbers.

I have done some research to try and help with your query which I agree appears to be like trying to find a needle in a haystack. However, UKCS admin doesn't allow to post messages from other forums but from what I have read it seems like the 10th & 11th digit of the VIN code identifies the year of manufacture.
The only other way to find out is to joint the Esterel Owners Club as I'm sure someone would be able to confirm what year it is.

Thanks Tango55, it appears from your information it is a 1994. I have also now looked at pictures of 1994 models and ours has the same upholstery.
You will now see it appear in the adverts on here, will be sad to see it go it is in excellent condition having been garage stored for the past 10 years, we need to sell it having purchased a motorhome.
