Hello all, after some advice, just got my son in laws ranger 460/2, 2005 vintage home to sort it out for him. The water heater works after a fashion but is not running very hot when first tap is opened, after a minute or so it runs lukewarm then fairly quickly cold.
Done all the right stuff, bled the system etc etc. I'm thinking element and or thermostat. Are these heaters expensive to replace? do you have to have a gas fitter do the job?
You don't have to be gas registered to work on a touring caravan but you do if it was a static caravan, the process of changing the thermostat should be fairly easy although ive not done one myself, if in doubt don't take a chance and get a professional to do it

Hi Chris & welcome to the forum. There is always a bit of a delay in heat coming through when a tap is turned on, that's just the cold in the pipe between the tank & tap. If it gets warm at all I would think the heater is probably ok though, may be a bad connection or thermostat?
Dave.
