ive just got my caravan out of storage. im checking all working ok but some things arent. the water is coming out of the cold taps ok but not from the hot water. for some reason i dont think the hot water tank is filling up. i leave the tap running for a bit but nothing. does anyone have any suggestions please.
As the caravan has been in storage over the winter period with the water drained out, it could be a defective non return valve as the sealing ball can rust inside causing it to jam which restricts the water flow through the valve. A build up of lime scale can also prevent the seal from functioning properly too.
What year of manufacture is your caravan?
I asked what year your caravan was to identify what hot water tank is installed. If it's a Carver Cascade 2 then the hot water non return valve can sometimes be problematic as I have had to change one twice in 10 years of caravanning.
