Having been put off by the poor rep some caravan manufacturers have - we were worried that our new sterling would be a dogs dinner so to speak! Happily we took delivery from Pedleys of Coventry and our new van is everything we hoped it would be- Roger did a superb job even though he's not the technical handover man-just wanted to say well donePedleys for our great experience.

Congratulations on your new purchase.

However, it's quite a trip from Liverpool to Coventry and back which is around 240 miles round trip so fingers crossed everything works okay and don't have to take it back for any rectifications under the warranty.

I do a 180 mile round trip to the dealer, been back three times for warranty work, last visit it was noticed that both the front and back panel are split! 8 month waiting list to have it dismantled and rebuilt with new panels, that will be another 180 mile!

I bought my 'van in 2014 from a dealer over 100 miles away, partly because the local dealer at Darlington was so offhand but mainly because I got over £3K discount - a grand better than the next offer.

IMO it was worth taking a risk for, which has been borne out since it's never needed any warranty work at all and a very local Swift dealer is happy to service.

I intend to keep the 'van for many years.

bought ours from a dealer 100 miles away.
And have had repairs done by my local fitter all paid by the main dealer.

We were persuaded at the October show by the attitude of the managing director!!!
Everything works fine so far apart from us picking up a puncture in a caravan tyre caused by a pesky screw!!! Had to call the rac to the caravan park-how embarrassing -no jack with the van which is something we are purchasing tout de suite!!!!
