Hi all just wandered if anyone has ever seen these markings on the roof of their touring caravan, they look like tape markings for where everything goes?! There is also what looks like a metal plate repair? On the back left above the shower/ toilet. We didnt notice this when we bought it and that was a couple of years ago, it has no effect on the van other than wondering why? Any answers or advice would be great! Chris

Thanks for your reply opensauce, it does look professional so a satellite dish removal could make sense! Just wonder why all the markings are there too? Could they be from the factory when it was being made/decided where things would go?
The roof marking look like someone has marked out the batterns in the roof, maybe they were going to add an ac unit or something and needed to know where the roof batterns were.
Looks like marking out lines,do you think they are made with a marker pen? if not a concern then they are harmless.As for the metal plate,you say it's above the toilet/shower,can you see something like it on the inside? is the skylight used as a vent,I would have thought that the vent has been removed,if you use the shower,steam will not be able to escape
If it's directly above the shower then it might have had one of those donut vents fitted at some stage.

I think its been a small skylight as some said to let steam escape from the shower.If it was i suspect maybe its gone brittle and broke and they couldnt find another one ?
