Evenin'
We're heading up to Buxton in a couple of weeks and so far Google maps is suggesting 3 routes:
1. M25 anti clockwise to M11, A14 & A1M
2. M25 anti clockwise to M1
3. M25 clockwise to M40, M6 toll, A38

What I'm after is any opinions on which is the nicest route, best to tow on etc. We normally go down to Devon so this will be the first time heading North for us!

Any input gratefully received, thanks!

The A14 is a very good road now. I'd go A14 M1 A515. I definitely wouldn't touch the toll road.

You don't say where you are coming from, but M6 toll is surely too far west and as Nora says, not necessary anyway. We have just used the M1 to junction 23a to pick up the A50 (which is a good road), the A515 to Buxton goes off this road. Several caravans went that way yesterday. We are heading towards the M6 though.

We are near buxton, have family down surrey, they come M1, A50, then A515 for ashbourne which leads to Buxton. Best way in our opinion.

thanks for the replies.
we're coming up from hastings so basically at 6 o'clock on the m25 which is why google maps has options for both clockwise and anti i think.

But am m1 side of Derbyshire.
So m25,m1 ,a50, a515.
