We are off to Cayton, Scarborough tomorrow and would like some advice on the best route, obviously avoiding Sutton Bank.
We've been to Pickering a few years ago and went A19, Stokesley, Chopgate, Helmsley, Pickering......is this the best route to get to Scarborough?

A64 is a long long route. The road ois dual carriageway but is a huge diversion Stokesley to Helmsley then Pickering then Scarborough is my regular route. Shorter but slower but fine and dandy, by car or by car/caravan. Enjoy the sights
Thanks - we went via Stokesley/Helmsley/Pickering/Scarborough it's a scenic route on slower roads but we didn't hit any traffic there or back which is pretty impressive on a Bank Holiday weekend!
