I've been reading about water systems and how they work, but it appears to me that some caravans can do things others can't. It would be helpful if someone has had an older model like ours which is a 97. What I would like to do. (If possible), if fill the aquaroll and use water straight to taps without filling the onboard tank. My brother in law says he just flips a switch to do this on his, but his van is an abbey and much newer. I've so far read, switch pump to external (run), which I'm sure we tried and I heard tank filling. Others have said put switch in middle. On ours that is "off? I've read internal is just used to draw from tank. Thanks
So it seems you only have 1 tank. The way it works is fill the aquaroll, connect the submersible pump to caravan, put pump in aquaroll, turn pump on in caravan the hot water tank will fill with water, you need to turn the hot water taps on to let the air out. Once tank is full when you turn the cold water taps on the water will come straight from the aquaroll, when you turn the hot water tap on the water in the aquaroll will refill the tank, so your cold water is coming straight from the aquaroll which is what you want to do, there is no other way to do it.
Yes we do. So just drain it when we leave. Thanks for your help, it was driving me mad wondering how ours worked. Last caravan water came straight to taps.
