Hi guys
May be being a bit paranoid here but have recently replaced our slightly damp 2004 Coachman with a 2010 Swift which we are sure is dry.
If you leave a pot of sugar in a jar after your last outing, do you find it tends to clump together from getting a bit damp??
Like I say, I am probably being a bit paranoid, but would appreciate having my mind put to ease.... Hopefully!
all vans have a level of damp, it's just when it becomes a larger volume its an issue. Your van will have vent holes in the floor, make sure they are not covered up.
I cannot say we have had sugar go this way, but do not forget the amount of moisture given off by two sleeping adults either.
Make sure your van is well ventilated when being occupied, and of course never leave any food stuff in the van when not being used. The ants and mice will love it if you do.
We left something, I cannot remember what, in our van once. Within just a couple of days we found a line of ants happily carrying it away. Amazing creatures, if not a little annoying.
I must add, we do store our sugar in an air tight tub, try that. 👍😀
If the sugar pot has no lid on, it will clump almost anywhere there are decent temp changes. Including your own front room. Theres moisture everywhere, which exposed sugar will suck out of the air.
