Had the same thing happen today. 2017 Swift 565 went and unplugged at EHU post but in battery box the two did not want to pull apart. Tugged pulled swore but did not want to play ball. Got mallet and gave it a couple of hard slaps, pulled and twisted it finally separated after about half hour of trying. Looks like one of the sockets had melted together. Did have Alde control on 3kw.
Will replace both plug and socket.
