I am a newbie here so hopefully this post is in the right place and i really could do with a little help and or advice
I have a 1998 Bailey Ranger 460/2 with an end bathroom and it has an issue where the plastic moulding where the Whale mixer tap fits has broken and started crumbling away, I have put bathroom sealer around it to stop water getting through put I would like a more permanent fix.
Could anyone tell me if there is a good fix or where i could buy a second hand moulding.
Thanks in advance for all your help and assistance
You could do with knowing what other vans this bit of kit was fitted to (is it a generic fitting?) then contact a few breakers. One of them is bound to have something to suit. Just make sure the new bit isnt on its way out with age, as well.
Is it possible to get a flat piece of plastic, flexible enough to slide down the back of the shower valve, and seal it with silicon.
Ideally is to take the cubical out, fit a back plate, also a plate where the valve is in the cubical, which gives it more strength.
We have a shower in our van, but never use it, well only occasionally , we use area for storage?
I've just used Plast Aid to repair bathroom sink - it had cracks round the plug hole then sprayed with white Rustoleum plastic paint it seems a strong repair. The crumbly area would need to be cut back to solid the repair done sanded down with very fine grade then sprayed. (If you use plast aid it cures to transparent so for aesthetics you'd probably want to paint to match with plastic paint)
