Advantages:- the travel service saves money on ferries, etc, e.g. £500 Birkenhead to Belfast instead of £540 direct with the ferry company, (paid for the years subsription in one go), Red Pennant was excellent for us few years ago, access to all the CLs for some folks.
OKs:- Magazine, some good articles, but too many adverts selling things I never knew I needed.
Club sites generally OK, but other non club sites can be better value in some cases.
Not so good:- The micro-precision check of your outfit positioning on the pitch for a minority of warders, some toilet blocks look a little jaded and sad, the cost of wi-fi.
On balance for us, worth the money.
Hope you find the right answer.

C&CC magazine is fine, but naturally full of adverts as that is how it is mainly funded, I would imagine. Sites tend to be less formal than CC ones we have found. Quote from warder at Sandringham, "Oh pitch somewhere over there among those trees, as long as your hook-up lead reaches you are fine". We have found similar on other sites, Hertford for example. I don't like regimented rows along roadways, it's too much like being on a housing estate.

Not yet found a C&CC site that was anything but a good standard, but have been on other private sites that have been just as good. All a matter of personal choice really.

Colin

I was a member of both clubs for donkeys years and mainly used the CLs. Also obtained good discounts on ferry crossings.
I had insurance through C&CC and when I had occasion to make a claim for damage, they were excellent.
I dropped out of both clubs when I started to store my caravan and holiday exclusively in France.
I recently rejoined the Caravan Club because I bought a new Kia Sorento and even after getting an excellent deal through Carwow, I got a grands worth of accessories by being a member of said club, so that paid for towing kit and other goodies.
Incidentally, just watching a documentary about Brits on package holidays in Spain and reminds me of why I took up caravanning about 25 years ago and stuck with it/
