Hi, Just back from NEC buying a Bailey Pelermo. The bodyshell warranty extension from 6-10 is £265. The extra 3 years manufacture to make it 6 from 3 is £439.
Do people think its worth it.

If extra warranty has to be paid for then it suggests it is very much worth it if you intend to keep the caravan 10yrs. Othewise they would warranty for the extra time with out extra charge. Read the small print obviously.
It depends how you do your caravanning. If you think you might want to trade it in after a few yrs then not worth it but if this a caravan for the next 20yrs then probably worth a punt but then again if you are going to keep it that long you might want to be doing more diy repairs later on in caravan's life anyway.
If you want to sell privately for more money rather than trade in, it will be worth it especially the bodyshell. We have a Bailey Pursuit and I am gong to upgrade the bodyshell warrany
As already mentioned how long will you be keeping it?
Is it transferable if you sell it or pass it along in the family?
Then check the smallprint, does it require additional costs to the yearly service?
If keeping it for a fair few years will you still have it serviced yearly even if it has not been used? The warranty may stipulate the yearly service must not be missed.
Thanks all, yes planning on keeping. Boys are 3 & 4 so we should get lots of fun out of it for a good few years. Been camping a few years but think a caravan will give us lots of breaks in Scotland, weather not too good here for tents. Decided to buy new and keep. (When I'm in currys I laugh off the extended warranty), but think it might be worth it for an investment this size. Newbee so as usual with this site, the comments are invaluable
