I have recently bought a Bradcot Aspire Air awning which is great and goes up very quickly, the problem is the securing method for the pegs is ladder straps.
The take longer to put on and peg out than putting the awning itself up, this wouldn't be a problem if you could leave them on, but you can't as I have tried.
All that happens is loads fall off when packing away and most of the rest fall off when it's being put up again, so you may as well take them all off and on every time it's used .
Is there any better type of fixing I can use with the pegs that I could leave on that would stay on ?
There are times when I would put it up for a weekend break, but the aggravation and time of the ladder straps put me off fir short sessions.

Forgive me, as I am but a mere tenter, so I googled ladder straps, to see if I would look stupid if I suggested carabiners. Having now seen how these ladders are attached, I think I would indeed have looked stupid to suggest carabiners... but I did see this, which suggests you could keep them attached...
Brilliant Mucker1884. I've recently bought an awning with ladder straps and have been thinking of really complicated ways to use cable ties to keep them in place.
Your picture looks like a perfect and simple way. We're going to the Lake District on Monday and I'll put a load of cable ties into the caravan.

Before that, I wasn't entirely sure what one was... or more accurately wasn't sure how they connected.

I gave put cable ties on all the ladders on my awning and it seems as if it will keep them firmly attached.
It is still warm enough to sit out under an awning. We had our breakfast under our awning this morning at Derwentwater CC site.
