Hi folks I'm new to caravaning and have been told I should leave the fridge door open when in storage but no matter how many switches I st to off the light is still on unless I pull the fuse do you have to disconnect the battery or am I doing something wrong any advice welcome Thanks
Take the battery out and take it home and keep it fully charged for the winter. dont leave it in the van if you can't keep it charged, answers the question about you fridge as well
Somewhere under the seats, behind a drawer, behind a drop down panel near the fridge there will be a socket that the fridge plugs into, has done in all my caravans. Just unplug it. Leave the door ajar and prop open the freezer compartment, i use the ice trays for that. Don't ever leave the doors closed as mould will cover the entire inside of the fridge if no air can get to it.
If you have no alarm or tracker in the van then by all means take the bty home to keep fully charged.
