Hi,

We are thinking about buying a Now TV box/smart stick for use in the caravan. Has anyone used one of these? Any comments would be appreciated.

We get quite a good WiFi signal on the site we are on so there shouldn't be a problem with that side of things.

Thanks.

I use one at home ,its not a "now tv" box but a similar thing, and it needs about 6mb internet speed for a decent picture, streaming archived material is ok but live sports etc. may require more speed, run a speed test, when you are on site.

As above a good signal, may allow no loss of connection for sending receiving emails etc.

But can it stream data at a high enough rate without any loss of speed when others connect?

If there are quality choices for the streams you maybe OK on a constant 2MB+. If it dips though you may get buffering issues.

Depends on the sites max speed and how many users are sharing it.

We use a now TV box on our seasonal pitch. The Wifi is pretty good and it was simple to add the Now box. Runs fine and never had a problem with it. We bought the USB stick hoping it would take up less space but we couldnt get it to connect to the wifi for some reason. We just swapped it for the box at home where the stick works OK
