The wallasey tunnel is wider than the Birkenhead tunnel so I would go through this and make your way along to Bootle and the A565 all the way to Southport.

Just fiollow the main roads. If they are OK for buses and trucks they will be OK for a caravan.

Wallasey tunnel then take the third left towards the docks ,turn right and follow the dock road towards formby/ Southport it’s a easy run

Come out go left to west Kirby then hoylake follow road along to more ton you come to a roundabout there take third exit ( right turn in other words) follow up to the traffic lights ,then onto the motorway keep to the left as you join then follow signs for Wallasey tunnel ,( toll) keep to left when coming out and follow previous instructions , ...


P.s I just looked out my window and gave you a wave ,other side of the estuary LOL

Thank you.We will try that tomorrow as we are going on the ‘Ferry, cross the Mersey’. 🛳🎶

Unfortunately we didn’t get a front row pitch with the views across the estuary to Wales.We timed our arrival for 12 o’clock, definitely no earlier say the CC club.Apparently quite a few arrived at 11.30 am and were let on the site so we missed out.Never mind, we will know what to do next time.
