The gas control rod does push down and light the pilot but the rod does not come back up when released.It seems that the bottom extension rod which sits in the gas control valve pushes down ok but only comes back up by pulling it up with pliers.Should it be securely attached to the piezo igniter ball joint so it can be pulled back up ? If so how ?
