Hello,
The data plate on the caravan.
It has three readings.
0. 1045kg
1. 75kg
2. 849kg
Do you add all of the above to get the total weight of the caravan?
Thanks,
David.

Hello David,

I think you have posted this in the wrong section, but I will give it a go.

It sounds like quite an old caravan, and I know things have changed recently regarding weights displayed on plates.

I am certain that you do not need to add up all the three weights.

My guess is that the 849kg refers to the weight of the caravan without any payload. The 75kg I think must relate to the allowance for gas bottles, batteries etc.

The 1045kg is the maximum plated weight for the caravan.

I suspect the difference of 121kg (1045 - 75 - 849) relates to the allowed payload for clothes, plates etc.

Others may be along who know more than me though.
