Navyeyelash - we have a caravan that fits the bill - Its a Sterling Eccles Sport 586 (ours is 2014). The new ones are Swift Eccles 590s I think.

Good layout (kids bedroom at the back with 2 fixed bunks, 2 put up bunks which can be a dinette) with a shower cubicle so separate to the loo.

The OP requires a weight of 1400kg and has a budget of 6-8k. Would an Eccles Sport 586 2014 fit those requirements?

Rob

sorry

Might be worth thinking about a four berth and a two man pup tent ... Quechua pop up e.g.

Rob, I was suggesting the layout the OP could look at - thanks for your "helpful" comment about my post, it really added to the thread.

I thought it did add to the thread, as maybe the OP might think he could get a 2014 van like that for his budget and waste his time looking.

XVI yes?

As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Thanks everyone I’m going to look at a Adria altea 542 2013 tomorrow. I can store the caravan at home for the time being until I sell me Eccles topaz.

My car can tow it (75% weight ratio). It’s just the awning I can never work out! I got it wrong on our last caravan too 😂
