Been towing since 1981 never had a broken window. Our van has a very comprehensive bug collection having done about 800 miles since leaving home!
I will wash it. Some rain on way back up from Normandie today but not enough to clean it! We took the trusty Santa Fe to car wash
Front cover not something I want. If van is dusty when you put it on surely it will scratch the windows?

Which is why it is recommended that you wash down the front before putting on the cover. After having the front of a previous caravan damaged due to stone chippings kindly put down by the local council, the towing cover is now a "must have" item.
