Hi All (Apologies for the length, got a bit carried away)
Ref: Country Leisure Caprice Mk3 Cooker
Thought I would strip down the cooker and see what was causing a white powdery substance to drop through to the grill pan and collect around the auxiliary burner (small one).
A lot of corrosion in random places under the main cover especially around the small burner cup which I managed to wire brush and treat with Hammerite paint, however the main reason for this message is that the little “stand off” screws that support the burner rings snapped off in three instances and do not seem to appear on any parts list. Would anybody know of a part number or supplier of cooker parts in order to replace the damaged screws (once I’ve managed to remove the broken pieces from the burner cups—could be tricky as only 3mm dia)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
You could try this web page if you can use or sell on the remainder of the one you don't use (they come in packs of 50) copy and paste the link https://uk.rs-online.com/web/c/fasteners-fixings/spacers-standoffs/standoffs/?sort-by=P_breakPrice1&sort-order=asc&pn=1
Thanks Flat At.
That's a really useful link for a lot of kit, even found a standoff in packs of 10 superb, pity it has to come from Germany, still, we do have to share exports/imports being a global community (I feel).
I thought that the Caprice MK3 cooker was made by Spinflo so it may be worth having a search under 'Spinflo Caprice Spares' and see what you can find as I believe that some parts are still available.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Thanks blueexpo97
The standoffs that I need are not listed in any of the suppliers diagrams, possibly it is part of a burner kit, however the other parts in a kit would not be needed hence superfluous (and £40 escaping from the wallet).
I have found (Thanks to Flat At) a range of steel pcb standoffs that fit the bill exactly, slightly different profile but correct length and thread form.
Thanks again for your help
