I have got a 2007 Sterling Eccles Sapphire. I am looking for a remote so I can switch on the entrance light before getting into our caravan. As I cannot reach the switch on the AC50 control panel, as I am not tall enough to reach it, until I get in our caravan. Which to me defeats the object of having an entrance light.
Perhaps an extra switch located lower down in a convenient position would help you Elaine? It could be wired in parallel to the existing one and be miles cheaper.

A small solar powered lamp with a PIR for about £12 from Toolstation would do the job. I've had one for a couple of years and its mounted on a short stake so that I can position it where it is most needed. Great in the summer but poor at charging in Dec/Jan.
