Does anyone know where I can get a new one of these from please? I unscrewd it from my 1997 Abbey kitchen tap

First place I would look would be ebay. If it's a whale tap you could probably get a repair kit from any caravan dealer.

generally people just replace the o ring and clean up the screwed in part, you could try soaking it in coke to make it easier to clean

It should still work without this 'sparkler' end. Many house taps have these ends. Maybe look around car boot sales for old taps. They will have the same threads.
