My single axle carver motormover didn't work when I tried it at the weekend. I have changed battery in remote and caravan.pressed reset button on control box. Still nothing.what I noticed the red light on the remote stays on constantly and won't switch off,so on gut instinct I think the remote is at fault,I have found a place that repairs remote for £20+postage. I have cleaned terminal on the motors and one female spade snapped when cleaning, any know what size I need to order? Any advice greatly appreciated.
Before you send remote off peel back the plastic membrane on the front that incorporates the switches. You will probably find some of the contacts underneath switches are corroded. Clean them to shiny metal with a nail file then press membrane back down.
Hi billy Remote posted this morning .unfortunately I didn't take a picture and working away from home at the moment.At a guess about 20mm wide x35mm long female push in spade ,yellow crimp.I have already looked on Ebay but cant find any.many thanks for your reply.
Maybe get in touch with a local caravan dealer about the spade connector.
