a lot of caravans work on a pressure switch system, when you open a tap ,the pressure drops , closing the switch ,and powering the pump . The pressure switch is usually situated on the inside of the van, close to the water inlet, you need to confirm which system you have first. check for the pressure switch (a small white plastic housing with a knurled adjusting knob on top) or check the taps for wires going to microswitches?
