dont worry about it, wait til it gets a bit wet or even just damp in the morning and then dries out, that will tighten things up for you. a few ripples doesnt really matter, your not going to be there long enough for anyone to care

Are you referring to a poled porch awning or a full awning?

ok well leave it up until its fully dry, keep the tension on it and it should hold its shape while it shrinks a little and tightens up

I thought it maybe a full awning you were referring to as sometimes the centre pole needs to be extended so it looks level with the caravan roof (if on level ground). This usually takes up the slack and removes any ripples but with a porch awning it's a bit different but just look at the poles and see if the distance from the awning roof to the ground is the same. If you are pitched on uneven or sloping ground you may have to adjust the poles independently to different heights which may eliminate the ripples.

I was wondering about that.    Being on a sloping pitch does not help and there will be ripples.

You can only be ripple-free on a bang level pitch, if you want to peg all around the base as normal. Otherwise you have to allow parts to be raised slightly.

When we put ours up we extend the roof poles out fairly taut then the front ridge poles.
Ours has an additional ridge pole along the front edge which you put in before you fully tighten the main roof poles. We then lift up the front poles to the correct height, checking there is about 5 to 6 inches of mudwall on the ground. The centre pole does go pretty high.
After that we peg it down.
Once done the poles can be adjusted a bit more if needed.
They tighten up a bit once dry.
