Hi guys, we’re away for Easter weekend and all of a sudden no water from the taps.

The pump is onboard and I can hear it still running etc. no matter if the lever is positioned towards the onboard tank or external water tub there is still no water.

Checked fuse and that’s ok for pump but again the pump is working. Initially I was thinking the micro switch in the tap but none of the taps work including the bathroom or shower so that blows me theory of micro switch faulty as they wouldn’t of all gone together.

When I turn on the tap there is nothing not even a gurgling air lock sound, the pump is constantly running regardless of wether we turn tap on or off

Any thoughts guys ?????

Had similar symptoms to this a couple of years ago...Could not fathom the fault!!!
Had a caravan tech up who knew straight away my problem.
It seems different water pressures on different sites does something to the controller. Cannot remember its exact name!!
However he just turned a little screw on the pump housing inside the van near the water tank. problem solved.
Hope yours is same rectification. I did google it afterwards, saw what he did on you-tube.
Maybe a simple fix.

Sounds like two faults to me. If the pump is running continuously with all taps turned off, the pump's electrical supply must be bypassing the microswitches or one of the microswitches is stuck on. It only needs one.

If the pump is running but no water is coming from any of the taps, there must be a blockage (or worse still a big leak) soon after the pump.

Best Regards,
Colin

Some vans, like ours, have the pressure switch built into the rear of the connector for the external water supply.
There is a screw that adjusts the pressure switch. It's on the left looking at the rear of the inlet connector from inside. Ours is under the offside front bed box.
You can adjust it (gently) with a screwdriver- its plastic.
