Hi. I am looking for a reasonably priced cordless drill machine for the lifting of the steadies. Not being stingy but I don't want to have to spend a fortune just one really for the purpose and for jobs around the house if need be. Thanks
I picked up mine from Lidl last year, a cordless drill with a few bits and a separate battery and charger, can't remember how much it cost, however, it did not break the bank.
They don't have any on offer currently, however, Aldi appears to have one that includes a battery and a charger:
You would probably need an adaptor for the steadies on your van though.

Update: I bought the one you linked.
The Aldi one would be fine for general stuff around the house, although I burned out a Lidl one drilling into concrete - replaced no problems. It would also be fine for steadies as long as you leave it on screwdriver setting and an appropriate torque level.
The less powerful drills cant always get the leg moving from the stowed position or down position if it's been cranked hard into place. For the modest difference in cost, a cheap/low powered one could be false economy.
I got mine from Toolstation (own brand model) with two 18v batteries, charger and case about 4 years ago for circa £35, been brilliant and gets used for general use as well as caravan steadies.
I'd have no qualms with the Aldi one, their tools tend to be good quality for the price AND a 3 year warranty.
The Aldi one arrived today so 2 days quick delivery. I was surprised how small it is . I tried it with the battery supplied without recharging it and it lifted the steadies no problem. I have put it on charge now to get a proper charge before I start to use it.

Not sure if you have a list of things to do before a trip etc., however, putting the battery of my drill on charge is one of the tasks on my list.

I got mine from either Aldi or Argos, I can't remember which. It was only cheap, less than £20 if I remember, and it has been doing the job just fine for several years now. I only really bought it for that one job, and later for driving in the screw-in pegs I had bought, but I have ended up using it around the home because the battery on my much bigger and more expensive B&D drill no longer holds a charge for more than a few minutes.

I had the same battery issue with my B&D drill (bought for using with Peggy Pegs).
I looked at getting a replacement battery first, and concluded I might as well get a new drill that is smaller in size that happened to be available at Lidl at the time.

This is one of the problems with battery tools, the batteries often cost more (when bought separately) than a new tool. I have had a succession of battery drills over the years, and it has always been the battery that let them down. I have at least two battery drills in my shed, which are both like new apart from the fact that the batteries have had it. All the batteries are deliberately made different so that there is no such thing as a universal battery, then the manufacturers charge more for them than a new drill. Conspiracy or what?
I just take the one i use around the house - an 18v Erbauer. A bit dearer than the Aldi special, but it'll be still running when those are in recycling. I toyed with a cheapo to live in the caravan. But left in over winter, would likely kill the batterie(s)
I'm the same as Mick, there is absolutely no point in buying one specifically for doing the steadies.
Buy a decent one and use at home and the caravan.
