Having just had a service, i have a note that my consumer unit isnt tripping out, assuming this is when performing a test.

I am assuming i can buy something like this

did the "note" say which part of the consumer unit isnt tripping , is it the RCD part or one of the individual MCBs, as the internal parts can be changed individually

It's most likely be the rcd that won't trip, They are usually fitted on din rail in the consumer unit and are pretty standard, Best to remove the old one and match the ratings and dimensions from a caravan accessories or electrical wholesaler, they are usually connected at one side to the floating busbars so you need to match the measuremsnt from the din rail to the connections same as the existing one. Easy job I changed mine last year from a caravan accessories retailer £25
