Hello all. Our tourer is sited in Welsh Wales noticed last week the flue had soot around it.

The flame appeared blue through the sight window but anyways.

I've just pulled the burner out and can't get the jet out. The burner itself doesn't look the healthiest thing ever....

I've left it to soak in a bath of carb cleaner hoping it might loosen everything up.

If I cover the two air holes I can blow through the burner but there's quite alot of resistance

Any thoughts?!

there is a filter from memory, which will cause the restriction
I have a really old service manual but it shows the filter in the gas inlet pipe, might it have gone into the burner?
