Can somebody advise please a lightweight porch awning on the above. The awnings that measure up to 250 in height are too short to peg down properly. Not wanting an air awning. Many thanks Ann
250cm height is the top end of the height of any awning, where have you got that your caravan is taller than that? have you actually gone and measured it? or taken the height from a web site? if the latter then that included the total height to the top of the tv ariel
best suggest is to get the tape out on the actual caravan, i am 100% sure you will find it will be lower than 250cm to the round
never had an issue with an awning except on uneven ground, we have a 2013 Lunar Clubman SI we have a Sunncamp Swift awning, it is lightweight and easy to erect we have a 220 and have just got a 260 for this season, where do you live you could try our 220 which we are going to sell it is USED but would give you an idea if its suitable.

Hi Ann it's not easy posting a photo on here Google the awning model. It is working well maybe a bit sun bleached and dirty in places, also I have put Duck tape on the storm skirt to add clingons to be able to peg out better I live in Chesterfield, Derbyshire don't want more than £20 for it.
I've got a Lunar Quasar/Cosmos 524, and a Sunncamp Swift Deluxe SC 260 awning, which is lightweight and easy to erect on your own as only a single hooped pole (telescopic steel side sections, and a fibre roof section).
I got it a couple of years back as a lightweight alternative to my heavy Kampa air awning for short stay use, and been very impressed with it. If I have anything negative to say about it, it's that it does seem to have rather a lot of pegging points on the mud skirt, but I don't usually bother pegging every one of them! If you buy the additional poles, you can open the front wall up into a sun canopy, or just roll up to give an open wall, so quite versatile.
The same style is available in different lengths, 3.9m, 2.25m, 2.6m and 2.2m.
You can see mine and cliffbrown's version here (think CB's version may be earlier model without option for side sun canopy and roof lining!)
No problems just thought if you where local to me you could try before spending on a new one don't necessarily have to buy mine willing to let you try it
Can certainly recommend the sunncamp like monty15 got rid of the air awning and using the sunncamp all the time, measure the available distance on the side of the van for a suitable fit the 260 gives us more space but goes over a locker which the 220 didn't
