I think at the moment you can be quite cheeky with offers. Prices seem to be hit badly at the moment.

I would be wary of Lunar as they weren't known as Leaky Lunars for nothing. Plus of course the company went into administration a few years back so some spares may be difficult to obtain.

I think the term Leaky Lunar was for older caravans, certainly the 2010 we had never had a bit of damp recorded.

That was around 20 years ago when the then Dutch company owners let QC fall to very low levels, things were put right post 2007 when there was a management buy out and ownership returned to UK! Lunar's have no worse issues than any other brand post 2007!

Every manufacturer has a bad spell at some point, and Soggy Swifts, Boggy Baileys etc. get levelled at vans of a certain period! My caravan service engineer said he's currently overwhelmed with nearly new Baileys leaking like sieves! My 2016 Lunar has just been given a clean bill of health on damp check BTW, as it has every year before!

As to spare parts, most of a caravan, like running gear, appliances, external lockers, roof vents etc., is off the shelf parts bought in from external manufacturers, and usually shared across most brands, so they are generally obtainable, you think unique body mouldings or interior trim are still available for any brand of caravan that's 14 years old? - Second hand is pretty much only option regardless of make for older vans!
