We’re looking to use more serviced pitches. We have our blue fresh water hose (well 7.5m of it) but we’re looking for advice re grey pipes. Do people tend to just buy the corrugated pipes and make their own?

I have corrugated and 32 mm rigid waste pipe to cover all eventualities. If we pitch hitch in first to get a view I use the rigid from the reared of the caravan on hangers from the offside skirt rail in increasing lengths to give a fall on the pipe with the last section of flexible to the drain. If parking back end in first just flexible to the drain.
I use the Colapz waste pipes, never had a problem with them in the UK (apart from having to buy an extra single to give me 5 metres length) although they're not brilliant in a lot of campsites in France due to the design of their drains
Not used too many serviced pitches, but from the ones I've seen, there seems to be some variation in location of taps and drains in relation to how van is pitched, no such thing as a 'standard' layout, that means necessary hose lengths may vary from site to site, even seen a shared service 'bollard' situated between two pitches, that meant quite a long hose and cable run (especially for the van on 'wrong' side of bollard), some are just behind the van offside, and others are a way back against a hedge/fence line and more central to pitch!
Also used a few CL/CS/rally field type sites where grey water went into a hedge!
My drain outlets on van are about 2.5m from the rear on offside. My solution for flexibility to cover most situations was to buy a 30m length of corrugated waste hose, cut it into one 8m and one 22m length, and with the aid of a push fit straight jointing piece, I have everything to cope with a drain/disposal point between just behind the van (snake the 8m hose mostly under the van and out of the way) and up to 30m away. It all coils up and stuffs in a sack and is stowed in the front gas locker, doesn't weigh very much, so no nose weight issues, and the space would otherwise be unused anyway, doesn't interfere with gas bottle, nor 2nd bottle if I chose to carry one on my van.
So far, used every variation of 8, 22 and 30m, and it seems to cover all that I've encountered so far. TBF, think most are dealt with by the 8m hose. But like a good boy scout, 'I'm prepared'!
Our setup is hard to explain but I’ll post a photo the next time we are out in the van. We have two lengths of rigid white waste pipe, one 40mm diameter and the other 32mm diameter (these are the two standard sizes it comes in). The 32mm length fits inside the 40mm length and slides in and out like the slide on a trombone to give us whatever length we need. The 32mm end is connected to the caravan waste by a 6 inch piece of corrugated pipe to allow flexibility in the angle coming out of the van so that it doesn’t matter whether the drain is at the back corner or back centre of the pitch and because the pipe is rigid it drains really well, even if the drain is slightly raised off the ground like in many French sites.
We too use the corrugated flexy pipe as I think the colapz system is a bit overkill really.
Ours is cut to varying lengths and coiled in a bag, the connectors can also be used to close the loop when stored in case of any smells. It all just stuffs into a corner of the front locker and is used as and when
Another vote for the Colapz waste pipes system, and I added a funnel when it was available as a separate item, so that the grey waste outlet sits more securely in the Wastemaster.

As per previous post, it’s our first time using a serviced pitch. I think we’ll be getting some colapz as at the mo, we have a lot of standard grey pipe in the front locker… too much.
