Our dealer is closing and can't do it. Coachman won't let Nene Court do it . Have asked our service man, but in the meantime any ideas, within a 40 mile radius of Luton?
I take it they won't let them do it because they're not the supplying dealer??
Or something else, more info would be good.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
You'll probably be out of luck with your '40 mile radius' then.

Indeed! We also need to go to Wellingborough to fetch the parts. It is only today that Coachman have told me that Nene Court is unacceptable, they could have told me days ago. A letter will be sent...
Ellis caravans Cranfield Milton Keynes 01908613594 and Caravan co Wavendon Milton Keynes 01908586000 both companies been in business for years. as have Nene Court. If they will not approve any of these workshops insist they take it back to factory.
Thanks, will look at them. Also just sent an email to Coachman asking for recompense for our fuel. Also read through all the emails; earlier on in the week they stated that "Nene Court is an approved company", so I assumed (it is wrong to assume) that they could do the repair. Hence a trip to Finedon to get the parts and took them to Nene Court .
Apparently the man at Nene Court has spoken to Coachman who say he has to submit a warranty form...after they told me that they would be unacceptable. I have copied him in re the email from Coachman.
Grrrr indeed. Been told off by Coachman now for taking the parts from Finedon to Nene Court. They are OUR parts! I wish we had brought them home, but I think (hope) that Coachman will authorise Nene Court to do the work. There is nobody else anyway.

Talking to a caravan repairer when picking ours up, it seems that Coachman will only pay a very low hourly rate which rules out lots of damp repair specialists

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.
The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.
Thanks, yes, have read about that. Hoping that Nene Court will be able to do it. Have also emailed White Arches at Rushden but don't hold out much hope. No idea what happens if nobody will do it.
The more I hear about Coachman, the more I want to steer WELL clear of the brand! I always thought of them as perhaps the best of the bunch, and seriously looked at buying one (but they were too heavy for my tow car), but I've heard rather a lot of less than impressive things from various sources of late, and your situation does NOTHING to impress at all! Would have expected better under the 'umbrella' of customer support!
When I bought my Lunar, and the dealer cocked up by failing to transfer the remaining warrantee into my name (they volunteered to transfer all paperwork into my name, and said I didn't need to do anything!), despite the limited time to act window truly expiring, Lunar couldn't have been more helpful in rectifying the situation of getting it transferred. Perfectly within their rights to have washed their hands by stating 'not done within the specified time, and supporting documentation not supplied', but they stepped up to the mark and did the decent thing and provided good customer support, even though not their direct problem!
