Hi looking to see if any one has had good value caravan insurance.
Mine due August, been on line and the difference is ridiculous.
I suppose that you only know how good the company is when you have to claim .any good companies out there ?
It's not just about the cheapest premium, it's about the quality of the cover and satisfactory settlement of any claim!
I'm with CAMC, certain discounts applied because of other CAMC services used. Almost certainly not the cheapest, but reassurance it's not the worst insurer out there!
Used Peacocks it was considerably cheaper than either of the two clubs. Had a blowout on the French Peage which Nationwide covered. Parked the van up and when packing for our first trip this year I noticed a 0.75 inch gap between the bottom of the unit housing the oven and the side of the van. Got the coachbuilder who fixed our sponges floor out to look at it and he told me the axle and twisted on its mount and was now very much closer to the caravan floor than it should be. Asked him for an estimate which he provided. Called Peacocks told them what had happened- 4 days later Assessor inspected caravan & took loads of pictures. I filled in an online claim form and sent them the estimate stating that this was our preferred contractor. A week to the day later I got an email from the Assessor stating he had recommended the claim be paid in full - any excess. It took 8 weeks to get hold of the new axle and shocks. Within days of it arriving caravan went in for a couple of days. Work completed signed satisfaction certificate paid contractor £100 excess job done. This won’t affect future premiums. Brilliant service can’t praise Peacocks highly enough. The premium? The princely sum of £129 per year.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
