Hi guys,
My partner and I are recently retired and are returning to caravanning after a very long absence!

After many months of looking for a Hymer Nova 470 we have viewed one (2016)
being sold privately and it ticks all our boxes and I have subsequently left a very small deposit.

The seller agreed to a service inspection and a damp report which has now been completed by a reputable dealership.
In terms of the damp report moisture levels are between 8-14% using a survey master damp meter.
Areas of 14% are around one of the side windows, to the side of the door (left hand) and the top area rear panel where washroom is located.

I understand moisture levels below 15% are ‘acceptable’ but given a couple or so areas are close to exceeding this threshold I’m really concerned. Perhaps, unnecessarily?

I’ll add that due to seller circumstances the caravan hasn’t been used and has solely be stored in a secure compound so perhaps this hasn’t helped moisture levels?

I can ill afford to make a mistake and are left wondering whether I should walk away?

Thoughts/opinions please.
