To high pressure will not give crackes.
To low pressure can give cracks, and UV light ( sun) ,and peroxides like Ozon ( formed by UV light or some electric instruments when storing .
Further this " pigheaded Dutch selfdeclared tyrepressure specialist " can help you determining a highest pressure, at wich no screws tremble loose .
Need tyre-specifications and weight on wheels ( mostly Max Permissable AXle Weights are used.
In my made calculator, I assume 4% on towbar.
But you can give your own weight on towbar.
Assumee your towbar iis half the wheelbase behind rear axle, then for instance 80 kg on towbar gives 120kgon rear axle , and lifs upfront axle by 40 kg.
So only rear needs higher pressure, but may y not max, because most TV have tyres with comfortable reserve.
And speed is lower with Caravan bhind it.
Maxload ( or loadindex) of tyres above Q speedcode is given for max 160 kmph/ 99 mph. Above that referencepressure has to be highened up before putting it in the official formula.
Standardload personscartyres referencepresure is 2.5 bar/ 36 psi, and XL/ reinforced/extraload AT 42 psi( 2.9 bar)
Maxcold given on sidewall between 44 and 51 psi ( 3 to 3.5 bar) and an ocacional XL// 60 psi ( 4.25 bar)
For higher speed and camber angle above 2 degr ( alignment) the difference between reference( is cold) and maxcold is used.
Both you dont need for towing
