Just got a 2025 Q5 and can’t find anything that will bolt on towing mirrors to fit it? Even the German manufacturer Emuk who make a set for the car say they don’t fit the British model. Any ideas?

Surely the suction cup to existing mirror glass will fit. https://towsure.com/collections/towing-mirrors/products/towsure-suction-towing-mir........

Not my idea of a good solution, but needs must and all that!

Milenco do accessory alternative pads to standard fitment for some of their mirrors to enable fitting to VW group cars (incl Audi). Worth asking them if 2025 Q5 is catered for. https://www.milenco.com/products/mirrors/mirror-spares/aero-mirror-pads

There are towing mirrors that strap onto front wing/wheel arch, or door, WITHOUT using existing door mirror. BUT they may not be EU/UK legal if they don't have the 'E' mark, and being seemingly Aussie/USA products, good chance they don't!

Thank you so much for your reply. It gives me a couple more options to explore. Much appreciated.

I have used strap-on mirrors for years. The set I have I have used on 3 different cars, although I did have to buy longer straps when I bought my X Trail because the fitted mirrors are bigger than those on the previous two cars. I would imagine they would fit anything. In my opinion they are far less likely to come adrift than the clamp-on types and don't damage the mirrors' outer shell either.

Colin

I've had lots of Audis - most recently Q5 diesels and used cheap strap-on mirrors - with some extra long straps bought on Ebay. Good luck with your Q5 - I hope you have the factory/ dealer fit towbar fitted and make sure they know what you want by way of connections with the wiring.

Thank you Grahame; I am still struggling with this. Do you know of any makes that would be a good choice? I can’t believe this is such an issue!

The ones I use are made by Maypole, they do the job just fine, I've used the same ones since 2013. Being an ex coach driver I like decent mirrors.

Thank you, I’ve got some Suparee strap on mirrors coming today. Anyone any experience of these?

I have both Maypole and Raydyot strap on mirrors. The Raydyot were more expensive and have a smaller lens, but are better quality. The attachment straps and grips are much stronger, and combined with their extra weight are harder to dislodge.

Both have fitted a variety of cars without any problems, including my current Alfa Stelvio which has large mirrors.
